I am a proud mom, devoted wife, lifelong Episcopalian, workout enthusiast, and beach bum at heart.

Above all, I am a Communicator.

With more than 20 years' experience in TV news and nonprofit communications, I took a leap-of-faith and dared to wonder what it would look like to only do work I love through projects that inspire me. I took what I loved most about TV (visual storytelling) and combined it with my passion for communicating the most important parts of a story in a clear, concise, and meaningful message. This part makes up GCC's freelance offerings.

Having worked at non-profit organizations, including 10 years as Director of Communications for St. David's Episcopal Church in Austin, I know the essential role communications plays in conveying changes, policies and messaging to a target audience. Without clear communication, your church security plan will never move beyond discussion to full implementation. My experience in creating and implementing safety plans for large, downtown churches - while evaluating the theological concerns and questions that come with doing this - informs the Consulting part of GCC.

As American Journalist Sydney J. Harris once said, "The two words 'information' and 'communication' are often used interchangeably, but they signify quite different things. Information is giving out; communication is getting through."

Let Grace Communications and Consulting help you get through to your target audience in direct, authentic, and powerful ways.
