I have two fun daughters who keep me on my toes, an amazing husband and the sweetest Beagle you've ever seen. I always fumble around when people ask about hobbies. Does working out count? I really do enjoy a great spin, barre or boot camp class several times a week because it allows me to completely escape my mind. When we're talking real escapes, there's nowhere I'd rather be than my favorite spot on the beach in Isla Mujeres!

Regardless of where I am or what hat I'm wearing, I am a communicator. I let this one "This I know" quality guide me as I took a leap of faith and dared to wonder what it would look like to do work I love with people who inspire me on projects that reflect my values. With 10 years experience as a TV news reporter and 15 years in non-profit communications, I learned to think strategically in how I convey my message: visually and succinctly!
As American Journalist Sydney Harris noted,
The two words 'information' and 'communication' are often used interchangeably, but they signify quite different things. Information is giving out; communication is getting through.
